1) install the itsme® test App on your device
You can download the itsme E2E app for iOS and Android. On iOS you can use a direct link to the AppStore while for Android whitelisting is needed on our side. The app will always update to the latest version if auto-updates are enabled on your device, you don't need to go through this process again.
iOS
Open the link below on your mobile device to download the itsme E2E app via the AppStore:

Android
The itsme app E2E builds for Android are distributed via the Google Play Store. This works via whitelisting on itsme side. Therefore please provide your Google Play Store profile e-mail address to the onboarding team via onboarding@itsme-id.com. You can find this e-mail address via the profile button in the Google Play Store app.
Once your e-mail address has been whitelisted, you will receive a notification from the Onboarding team. Next step is to open this link from your mobile device: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/be.bmid.itsme.e2e
Here you will have to agree to become a tester (see below - must be done only once).
After this step you will be able to find a new “itsme E2E” application in the Google Play Store.
In case you do not find the itsme E2E app directly by name, you can do the following:
- search for the itsme app
- click on the name “Belgian Mobile ID” right below the app title
- find all the Belgian Mobile ID apps you have access to
- install the itsme E2E app
2) enrol your itsme® test account
After downloading the app, follow the steps below. Remark: iPhone users may need to trust Belgian Mobile ID NV first before proceeding (Go to Settings/General/Profiles & Device Management).
- Open the itsme® test App, click on 'Continue' and agree to the confidentiality policies
- Enter the phone number of the test account and click 'Continue' (enter the number without the country prefix eg. 0032 = +32 (for Belgium))
- Choose the country of the ID document
- To link your test identity, go at the bottom of the list and choose ‘My ID Broker’. You will be redirected to our secure My ID Broker environment
- Confirm your account creation
- Return to the itsme® test App
- Select your test PIN code (and please remember it)
- Follow then the remaining steps on the App screen
The e-mail address can be changed directly in the itsme® test App:
- Open the itsme® test App and click on “…” at the top left corner
- Select “My ID Details”
- Close to the e-mail, click on Edit and amend the email address
- Save the changes
You can edit data of the test account in the B2B Portal. If you don't have access yet to the B2B portal please reach out to the onboarding team (onboarding@itsme-id.com). If you want to activate a different test account on the same device or like to re-enroll the same test account, you can delete the account directly form the itsme app menu (Security & Privacy / Delete my itsme).
